A volunteer was driving through Hayvoron on her business when she saw a dog in the bushes. The animal was emaciated and thin. It seemed that all that remained of the dog was a skin-covered skeleton. Yet the dog was alive, but so dehydrated and hungry that he barely had the strength to stand up.
The woman immediately canceled her plans and urgently took the animal to a clinic in Uman. Together with the dog, the volunteer travelled 70 kilometers. Now the pooch is being tested and is gradually being given a medicine to restore its digestive functions.
UAnimals transferred UAH 3,000 for the animal’s treatment. These funds will go to primary procedures, but there is still a long way to recovery ahead. We are grateful to the caring volunteer who did not leave the animal in critical condition. We encourage each of you to leave water outside for stray animals.
☝️ Find a solid container, fill it with ordinary water and put it outside in a quiet place in the shade. Replenish the water reserves twice a day: in the morning and in the evening. Do not let the water stagnate, because it can get infested.
