UAnimals’ legal team has filed a police report against the owner of a horse farm in the Kharkiv region who left 28 horses behind and moved to russia. This behavior of the man is considered animal cruelty.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

According to the law, police have the right to temporarily seize the animals until the court makes a final decision in this lawsuit. Then, the UAnimals team will be able to evacuate the horses from the conflict zone.<\/span><\/p>\n

The horse complex is constantly under fire by russians,<\/span> which has already resulted in death of a 5-month-old foal, and injuries sustained by a mare. Currently, local law enforcement and the only stableman, who has been working at the farm for 12 years, take care of the animals.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“I couldn’t leave the animals to die<\/span>, but it was also difficult for me to cope with everything,”<\/em> shares stableman Oleksiy. “Fortunately, [law enforcement officers] Denis and Dima started helping me. They collaborate with local farmers and volunteers, bringing hay, oats, and salt.”<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

However, the horses still lack sufficient food. According to the stableman Oleksiy, sometimes the animals go without eating for two consecutive days<\/span>. Additionally, there is a shortage of firewood for heating on the farm, so in freezing temperatures, even the drinking water for the horses freezes.<\/span><\/p>\n

We urge the police to promptly review the report and help save the horses from the war!<\/span><\/p>\n
