{"id":13135,"date":"2024-01-15T19:27:43","date_gmt":"2024-01-15T17:27:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/uanimals.org\/?p=13135"},"modified":"2024-01-22T15:30:59","modified_gmt":"2024-01-22T13:30:59","slug":"uanimals-to-begin-nominations-for-the-animal-rights-activists-award","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/uanimals.org\/en\/news\/uanimals-to-begin-nominations-for-the-animal-rights-activists-award\/","title":{"rendered":"UAnimals to begin nominations for the Animal Rights Activists Award\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In February, UAnimals will once again award the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/uanimals.org\/en\/award-2024\/\">Animal Rights Activists Award<\/a><\/span> to individuals who rescue animals. <span style=\"color: #ffff00;\">The award was established by UAnimals and the inter-fractional association Humane Country in 2023.<\/span> Last year, 15 female animal rescuers and 6 male animal rescuers <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/uanimals.org\/en\/news\/vseukrainskoi-zoozakhysnoi-premii\/\">received the prize<\/a><\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Anyone can nominate candidates for the award until January 20. Multiple nominations are allowed, and it is important to provide reasons why you consider these individuals worthy of recognition. <span style=\"color: #ffff00;\">Among all the nominees, the jury will select 10 winners.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The jury includes:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"color: #ffff00;\">Oleksandr Todorchuk<\/span>, founder of the humanitarian movement UAnimals and initiator of the creation of\u00a0 the inter-fractional association Humane Country, a serviceman.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"color: #ffff00;\">Yulia Ovchinnikova<\/span>, co-chair of the Humane Country, member of the Ukrainian Parliament, and chairwoman of the subcommittee of the Parliament of Ukraine on forest resources, biodiversity, natural landscapes, objects of the natural reserve fund, and on adapting Ukrainian legislation to the provisions of EU law.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"color: #ffff00;\">Dmytro Revniuk<\/span>, founder of the public organization Zoopatrol Ukraine.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"color: #ffff00;\">Tamara Human<\/span>, head of the public organization Every Animal.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"color: #ffff00;\">Marina Surkova<\/span>, president of the Association of Animal Rights Organizations of Ukraine (AZOU).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"color: #ffff00;\">Ines Kosti\u0107<\/span>, member of the Dutch Parliament, political scientist, and politician for the Party for the Animals.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"color: #ffff00;\">Meredith Whitney<\/span>, manager of wildlife rescue programs, International Fund for Animal Rights.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Let&#8217;s express our gratitude to animal rights volunteers by <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/uanimals.org\/en\/award-2024\/\">nominating<\/a><\/span> them for this year&#8217;s award!<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In February, UAnimals will once again award the Animal Rights Activists Award to individuals who rescue animals.
