UAnimals volunteers<\/a><\/span> stocked up on treats and visited two shelters – Rifugio in the Kyiv Oblast and Pegasus in the Dnipropetrovsk region.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The volunteers made treats for the animals themselves: some made chewing <\/span>treats<\/span> from cosmetic clay and grains, others prepared dried fruits or gathered fresh apples or carrots.<\/span><\/p>\n

Horses, pigs, goats, and sheep eagerly enjoyed all three types of treats. Additionally, the volunteers left fresh apples, carrots, and cabbage at “Pegasus” for the shelter animals to enjoy later.<\/span><\/p>\n

At Rifugio, the star among visitors was a boar named Kabachok: “The shelter is wonderful, the animals are just incredible, especially the little boar Kabachok! My heart was won over by the horses!”; “The animals seem well cared for and happy. We had a wonderful tour!”; “We fed them, petted them, and even did some chores with Kabachok the boar.”<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Together, they had a fantastic day. And if you missed this event, don’t worry: volunteers regularly attend various events as part of the <\/span><\/span>Helping Shelters in Ukraine<\/span>\u00a0project.<\/span> UAnimals community members walk dogs, clean shelters, and assist with construction work there.<\/span><\/p>\n
