This past weekend, on October 26\u201327, 46 volunteers groomed animals in shelters: brushing cats and dogs, trimming nails, and cleaning their ears and eyes. They visited 9 shelters and adoption centers<\/span> across 5 regions:<\/p>\n

– The “Patron” adoption center, two “Kotokhata” shelters, and “Kyiv Cats” in Kyiv;
\n– “Best Friends” in the Kyiv region;
\n– The “Little Prince” rehabilitation center in Kharkiv;
\n– “Meow-Woof” in Dnipro;
\n– “Lonely Hearts” in Odesa;
\n– “Kitty’s Home” in Zaporizhzhia.<\/p>\n

Fur often gets tangled into knots, which can collect dirt that irritates the skin. That’s why regular grooming is necessary<\/span>. Additionally, grooming is also a socialization process<\/span>. The more time animals spend with people, the more they get used to human contact and attention, becoming friendlier. This, in turn, helps shelter animals find families.<\/p>\n
