{"id":27965,"date":"2024-11-27T17:20:43","date_gmt":"2024-11-27T15:20:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/uanimals.org\/?p=27965"},"modified":"2026-03-20T23:20:37","modified_gmt":"2026-03-20T21:20:37","slug":"uanimals-volunteers-helped-clean-up-9-shelters","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/uanimals.org\/en\/news\/uanimals-volunteers-helped-clean-up-9-shelters\/","title":{"rendered":"UAnimals Volunteers Helped Clean Up 9 Shelters"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On Saturday, November 23, volunteers from the UAnimals community visited animal shelters in five regions of Ukraine to assist with cleaning efforts. <span style=\"color: #ffff00;\">Despite the cold, rain, and snow, over 50 people joined the campaign.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The following shelters were tidied up:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>&#8220;Kovcheh&#8221;<\/strong> in Odesa;<\/li>\n<li><strong>&#8220;Animal Rescue&#8221;<\/strong> in Kharkiv;<\/li>\n<li><strong>&#8220;Myav-Hav&#8221;<\/strong> in Dnipro;<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>&#8220;Patron&#8221; Adoption Center<\/strong> and <strong>&#8220;Dvorniashkam Dim&#8221;<\/strong> in Kyiv;<\/li>\n<li><strong>&#8220;In Good Hands&#8221;<\/strong>, <strong>&#8220;Mala Dzyga&#8221;<\/strong>, and the Hostomel Shelter in Kyiv region;<\/li>\n<li><strong>&#8220;Rudy Pes&#8221;<\/strong> in Ivano-Frankivsk region.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Volunteers swept and washed floors, windows, and food bowls, and cleared outdoor enclosures of branches and fallen leaves.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-27948 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/uanimals.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/20241123_114626-scaled-2.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" \/><\/p>\n<p>One of the volunteers, Anzhelika, shared her experience working at the Hostomel Shelter:<br \/>\n<em>&#8220;We started cleaning in the shelter\u2019s hallways, where we swept and mopped the floors. Then we moved outside, raking leaves and trimming tree branches. After the cleanup, there\u2019s a sense of satisfaction because you\u2019re doing something useful for the animals, especially since the shelter staff are often overwhelmed. Plus, working with a group is always more fun.
