UAnimals delivered 398 kilograms of food<\/strong> for dogs and cats from frontline areas, temporarily sheltered by medics of the Hospitallers Volunteer Battalion<\/em> in Pavlohrad, Dnipropetrovsk region<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Recently, Liliya Klius<\/em>, a logistics officer of the battalion, reached out to UAnimals.
\n\u201cBesides rescuing the wounded, our crews regularly evacuate abandoned animals from the combat zone. At our base in Pavlohrad, we\u2019ve created conditions for their temporary shelter \u2014 built enclosures and ensured veterinary care and attention,\u201d<\/em> Liliya explained.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s how the \u2018Animal Dormitory\u2019<\/em> was born. It has existed for about a year now, and the residents are actively being rehomed.<\/p>\n

\u201cOn April 25, 2025, a drone strike caused major damage to our base \u2014 it burned down along with all food supplies,\u201d<\/em> said Liliya. The enclosures were located a bit further from the destroyed buildings, so the animals were not physically harmed. They were frightened and aggressive for a few days, but have since returned to their normal behavior, she added.<\/p>\n

Currently, the Animal Dormitory<\/em> shelters 28 cats and 27 dogs<\/strong>. They receive free veterinary care \u2014 vaccinations, sterilization, and treatment \u2014 thanks to the support of professionals. Food is provided by various organizations, including UAnimals.<\/p>\n
