In May, UAnimals volunteers distributed pet food in the Sumy and Kharkiv regions<\/span>. In total, 600 kilograms of food and 235 anti-parasitic treatments<\/span> for cats and dogs were given out to people living near the border who care for many animals. The women visited quite dangerous areas where there are many both domestic and abandoned feral animals. The purchase of the food was made possible with the support of the Angelina Usanova Foundation.<\/p>\n

At the beginning of May, Viktoria Ovsiannikova brought 150 kilograms of food for dogs and cats to Ivano-Shyichyne in the Kharkiv region. Here is a family Viktoria met among others. This family cares for 12 animals at home. The man of the household also looks after 6 more animals at work.<\/p>\n

Two volunteers distributed food and treatments in the Sumy region.
\nNatalia Karas distributed 150 kilograms of food for dogs and cats in the villages of Yampil, Khutir-Mykhailivskyi, and Svesa.<\/p>\n

Maryna Velytchenko delivered 300 kilograms of food to the border village of Shalyhyne. She handed some of it out there, and passed the rest to a local volunteer, who feeds stray animals right along the border. It was not possible to get there by car. According to Maryna, the streets are heavily littered with unexploded drones.<\/span> The volunteer gets in by motorcycle and feeds the many abandoned animals found there.<\/p>\n

Some of the food was also sent to the village of Khodyne. Another volunteer came to collect the aid so that Maryna wouldn\u2019t have to risk driving through a shelled checkpoint and drone-debris-strewn streets.<\/p>\n
