All-Ukrainian Children's Literature Award “Humane Book”

Let's nurture humanity from an early age — let's read kindhearted books with our children

About the Award

UAnimals launched the Humane Book Award in 2023 because we believe in the power of stories in books: they can help shape humane, compassionate, responsible people and make society kinder. Reading is an opportunity to discuss complex issues with children, touch on important topics, and simply spend time together. The Humane Book Award aims to demonstrate the numerous wonderful Ukrainian books that inspire love for the living world.

UAnimals has been promoting humanistic values and saving animals from cruelty since 2016. Since the start of the full-scale invasion, the organization has been saving animals from the war by evacuating, feeding, and treating them, as well as rebuilding shelters and supporting nature parks. In addition, UAnimals and Suziria Group have launched the Humane Education and Volunteering project. This effort is aimed at integrating the topic of humane treatment of animals and the environment into the educational process.
