On Saturday and Sunday, May 17 and 18, everyone who cares is welcome to join UAnimals’ traditional event — cleaning animal shelters. Many of these shelters are currently overcrowded and lack enough hands to get everything done.
These animal centers are looking for help:
- Hostomel Shelter (Hostomel, Kyiv Region)
- V Dobri Ruky Shelter (Vyshneve, Kyiv Region)
- Planeta Shelter (Vinnytsia)
- Leroy Shelter (Obukhivka, Dnipropetrovsk Region)
Cleaning at the Leroy shelter will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, while the other shelters will welcome volunteers at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
Please wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty and that are comfortable for working. You’ll help clean the premises, wash windows, floors, and enclosures — and if needed, paint them too. After the work is done, you’re encouraged to spend some time with the animals.
UAnimals will arrange transport for you or help connect you with other volunteers who have cars to reach out-of-town shelters. You’ll receive all the details in the volunteer chatbot after registering (in Ukrainian).
