This weekend marks the season opener of one of Kyiv’s largest charitable events — Kurazh. Among the many emerging Ukrainian brands at the fair, keep an eye out for products from Animalism by UAnimals, a brand that donates its profits to help animals.
The first Kurazh event of the year will take place on May 10–11 at its usual location — the Expocenter of Ukraine (VDNH), in pavilions 1 and 9. Kurazh is a popular festival-flea market that has been held since 2014, initiated by Alona Hudkova. A core part of the event is charity: it raises funds for various social initiatives and organizations. In particular, Animalism will donate proceeds from its UAnimals sales to support animals affected by the war, stray animals, pets of military personnel, and shelters.
The brand’s newest collection, TINI KHVYL (“Shadows of the Waves”), is dedicated to dolphin rescue.

Also featured among their latest designs is the MURRRRR long sleeve — wearing it is a way to encourage others to adopt cats from shelters.
The popular Red-Listed collection is still in demand, offering hoodies, T-shirts, and blankets with stylized images of endangered animals.
As the weather warms, their summer line “Never late to GOAT”, inspired by rural childhoods, is especially fitting.

Besides shopping for modern pieces, visitors at Kurazh can enjoy a vintage market, food courts, workshops, music, and conversations with well-known personalities.
Last weekend, Animalism also showcased their designs at the DESIGN HALL at Mystetskyi Arsenal — the central event of Ukrainian Design and Innovation Week, where Ukrainian producers present furniture, lighting, décor, and art. There, the brand introduced its latest apparel and accessories.

You can find Animalism by UAnimals at Kurazh from 12:00 to 22:00. Day tickets are 400 UAH. Entry is free for veterans, military personnel, Ukrainian Volunteer Army members, people with disabilities, pregnant women, children under 12, and pensioners. The Kurazh venue is accessible to people with limited mobility, and sign language interpretation will be provided during the event.
And if you can’t make it to Kurazh, you can always order Animalism items online. Take a look — it’s worth it!
