Cows, Ducks, and Pigeons: UAnimals Team Rescued an Entire Farm

During the evacuation mission from February 6–10, rescuers Hanna Ponyrko and Danylo Koval evacuated nearly 100 animals from frontline areas. Among the passengers of the rescue vehicle were cows, a calf, ducks, chickens, and pigeons.

“The village is being shelled with artillery. We need to evacuate the animals in decent conditions so they can make it. One of the cows is pregnant. We’re still in the village,” wrote Nadiia in her evacuation request. Her family lived on the border between Donetsk and Dnipro regions.

The rescue was carried out in two stages. First, the birds, cats, and dogs were transported to their new home in the Poltava region. Then the team returned for the cows and the bull calf, bringing them safely to the same village. In total, the new home welcomed two cows, a calf, three dogs, seven cats, 12 chickens, a rooster, 23 ducks, and 40 pigeons.

Additionally, five more dogs were rescued from the Donetsk region. Oscar the shepherd and Burhan the Alabai were placed in the care of a guardian. Spaniel Tyoma traveled to his owner in Ternopil. Meanwhile, Chihuahua Richie and Labrador Nika are still searching for a home.
