During the UAnimals Veterinary Mission in Zaporizhzhia, 283 Animals Were Sterilized

Last week, doctors from the UAnimals veterinary mission team provided assistance to animals in the Vozdvyzhivka rural community, located in the Polohy district of Zaporizhzhia region. In total, they managed to sterilize 283 animals — both pets and strays. The mission was made possible thanks to donors who purchased the “Paw of Care” in MasterZoo pet stores.

This was the eighth mission in frontline areas where veterinary help has been absent for years. The team has now returned from the trip — veterinarians Nataliia Sokolova and Yuliia Tkachenko, assistant Yaroslava Kryvytska, stray animal catcher Roman Bidnenko, and manager Andrii Kharchyshyn.

The UAnimals veterinary mission not only sterilized animals, but also microchipped them, vaccinated them against rabies and infectious diseases, treated them for parasites, and provided veterinary consultations. Additionally, rabies vaccines were distributed to people who couldn’t bring their animals to the improvised veterinary clinic.

For the first time in the history of these missions, the team traveled to frontline areas without the specially equipped UAnimals vehicle that normally serves as a mobile surgery. Instead, care was provided in a school gymnasium adapted for receiving animals.
