In January, UAnimals Volunteers Distributed Over 500 Kilograms of Animal Feed in Frontline Regions

Throughout January, UAnimals volunteers visited six villages in Donetsk, Kharkiv, Sumy, and Kherson regions. These brave women distributed food for cats and dogs to people who care for many animals. Four of these trips were made possible thanks to the support of sponsor Anhelina Usanova, a singer and the winner of the “Miss Ukraine Universe 2023” contest.

At the beginning of January, Kateryna Yakupova visited Chornobaivka in the Kherson region, where she distributed 120 kilograms of pet food and 70 parasite treatments. Oksana Suprun and Olena Lysachenko distributed food and medicine in the Kharkiv region—Oksana in Bezliudivka and Olena in Pisochyn.

In the Sumy region, Nataliia Karas worked in the villages of Znob-Novhorodske and Holubivka. Meanwhile, in Donetsk region, Yuliia Biloborodko distributed food in Oleksiievo-Druzhkivka.

“We’ve been there before, but now the situation has changed dramatically—these places are being shelled very frequently… There are people, many animals, and the military is rescuing and evacuating them, but most are left behind in the villages. No matter how many we evacuate or sterilize, the number of animals keeps growing,” Yuliia wrote about Oleksiievo-Druzhkivka.

Each volunteer, except for Kateryna, distributed 100 kilograms of food—half for dogs and half for cats. Additionally, a total of 235 parasite treatments were given to local residents for their animals.
