Lectures by Baidak and Katia Taylor: UAnimals Launches Balachka Platform

On the charitable platform Balachka by UAnimals, you can watch mini-lectures by experts from various fields. Access to these videos is granted with a donation starting from 200 UAH, which goes toward helping animals.

Right now, there are 14 diverse lectures available on the platform, covering topics such as creativity, business, art, accessibility, history, sexual education, artificial intelligence, healthy eating and self-care, time management, learning English, and even using sign language to communicate with dogs. New content will also be added, and subscribers will be notified by email.

“We wanted to create a platform that would be useful to both people and animals,” says UAnimals founder Oleksandr Todorchuk. “Most of the lectures aren’t about animals, but each one helps save them.”

In his mini-lecture, entrepreneur and marketer Andriy Fedoriv explains why branding is important for businesses.
Serviceman and public figure Masi Nayyem shares advice on expressing gratitude and what to avoid when communicating with wounded veterans.

English teacher and blogger Tumazar presents a lecture on the conditional mood in English — a topic that’s puzzled many students.

Sasha Hanapolska and Vlad Lahoda from the music project Tember Blanche talk about how to share your ideas with the world.

“I’ve always had deep compassion for animals, and ever since Vlad and I got our dog Zirka, I’ve wanted to protect and save every animal on the planet,” says Sasha Hanapolska. We have something meaningful to say. We made our way without producers, and now we want to share our experience with others.”

Each mini-lecture lasts between 10 and 40 minutes and comes with a bonus video featuring a “Top 5” list. For instance, Tumazar reveals the “Top 5 English words that don’t mean what you think they do.”

You can choose a lecture and make your donation directly on the Balachka platform. After payment, the lecture remains available in your personal account for three months.
