Nine Dogs Poisoned in Nikopol – UAnimals Veterinary Mission Files Police Report

Between January 14 and 17, UAnimals conducted a veterinary mission in Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk region. On the first day, an animal catcher found nine poisoned dogs in the city. The mission team filed a report with the Nikopol District Police Department. According to Andrii Kharchyshyn, the mission manager, the perpetrators remain unknown.

This was UAnimals’ fifth veterinary mission to frontline areas in the past six months. During the visit to Nikopol, assistance was provided to 427 animals, including 182 stray animals caught on the streets by the animal catcher.

Veterinarians sterilized 299 cats and 93 dogs. They also chipped, vaccinated, and treated animals for parasites. Additionally, the team distributed 10 doses of rabies vaccines, 25 doses of comprehensive vaccines, and performed six complex surgeries. Over 600 kilograms of cat and dog food were distributed to animal caretakers in Nikopol and surrounding areas.
