On January 22, the Kyiv shelter “Dvor nyashkam dim” was flooded. Water flooded the basement where rescued cats lived. The animals found themselves in icy water.
Fortunately, they are all alive. The animals were rescued from the flooded room. They are scared and wet, but safe.
UAnimals is in contact with the shelter team. The first priority is to dry the room and warm the animals, so we will purchase and deliver a gas heater to the shelter.
We are also recruiting volunteers from the UAnimals Community. Once the hole has been repaired, the room will need to be cleaned up: wet items will need to be collected and the room will need to be completely dried out. Physical assistance is extremely important.
We are glad that the animals were not harmed and wish them a speedy recovery and warmth.
