The Ninth UAnimals Veterinary Mission Has Started in Kharkiv Region

On May 24, the UAnimals team launched a veterinary mission in Kharkiv Region. The project’s veterinarians are providing treatment, spaying and neutering, vaccinations, and deworming for animals in the area. This mission was made possible thanks to the generous people who purchased a “Paw of Care” in MasterZoo pet stores.

This time, the mission team includes chief veterinarian Natalka Sokolova, veterinarian Yuliia Tkachenko, assistant Yaroslava Kryvytska, stray animal catcher Roman Bidnenko, fieldwork manager Andrii Kharchyshyn, and videographer Kseniia Kozeleuk.

Just on the first day of work, the veterinarians sterilized 79 animals, most of which were pets. Andrii Kharchyshyn shared:
“Some of the animals were picked up by local residents and brought to us for vaccination and sterilization in the hope of finding them a new home. Many people asked us to issue pet passports to increase the chances of adoption. We also gave each animal a pack of food to make sure they’re well-fed in the days ahead.”
