UAnimals Announces Jury for the 2025 National Animal Protection Award

In March, UAnimals will announce the winners of this year’s National Animal Protection Award. The jury, composed of public activists, past winners, and even a former British detective, will select the winners from nearly a thousand nominees.

The full jury lineup has been published on the award’s website:

  • Jojo Mehta, co-founder of Stop Ecocide International
  • Mark Randell, international researcher of animal crimes, former Senior Detective with the UK police
  • Inha Sakada, head of rescue department at UAnimals
  • Olha Chevhaniuk, head of strategic initiatives department at UAnimals
  • Yuliia Ovchynnikova, Yuliia Ovchynnikova, Member of Parliament and co-chair of Humane State inter-factional union
  • Masi Nayyem, serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, lawyer, and human rights defender
  • Angelina Usanova, UN and IIMSAM Goodwill Ambassador, Miss Eco International 2024, founder of the Angelina Usanova Foundation
  • Andrea Cisternino, owner and director of Rifugio Italia KJ2 shelter, winner of the Ukrainian Animal Protection Award 2023 (main picture)
  • Oleksandr Syplenko, head of Sumske Tovarystvo Zakhystu Tvaryn, lawyer, winner of the Ukrainian Animal Protection Award 2023.

This is the third time UAnimals has presented the Animal Protection Award to individuals who consistently support animals and the environment in Ukraine.
