UAnimals declares international search for the Marbled Polecat

UAnimals activists in the United Kingdom conducted a campaign against the Russian ecocide in Ukraine. On November 13th, they posted announcements in London about the disappearance of the Marbled Polecat — a red-listed species that inhabits the steppes in Eastern and Southern Ukraine.

“Unfortunately, the animal might never be found again, since this whole species is in danger of extinction due to Russian military aggression in Ukraine,” the announcement stated.

Concerned individuals were advised to contact the Russian Embassy in London and urge its staff to explain the criminal actions of their army. Notices from UAnimals are also displayed near the embassy’s consular section entrance.

“We want to draw attention of the global community to the tragedy of losing not only individual specimens, but entire species of endangered animals. We call for an end to the Russian ecocide in Ukraine,” said Olga Chevganyuk, UAnimals’ Head of the International Department.

As a reminder, UAnimals has previously organized numerous rallies and demonstrations on all continents as part of the #StopEcocideUkraine campaign. They have also appealed to the United Nations to recognize Russian actions in Ukraine as ecocide. Russia must be held accountable for the catastrophe at the Kakhovska hydroelectric power station, the disappearance of entire species of animals and plants, the contamination of soil and water bodies with explosive objects, and other environmental crimes!
