UAnimals Invites Volunteers to Walk Shelter Dogs

On Saturday, February 22, UAnimals volunteers will visit six shelters to take local residents—dogs—out for a walk.

The shelters are located in four different regions. In Kyiv region, they will visit Best Friends in the village of Fasova (Makariv district), Nosyky in Hostomel, and Zooplatforma in the village of Voronkiv (Boryspil district).

In Lviv, volunteers will walk the dogs at the municipal shelter run by Lev enterprise. They will also visit Rudy Pes in the village of Staryi Lysets, Ivano-Frankivsk region, and Laska in Lutsk.

These walks are more than just a pleasant activity—they are an essential exercise for the dogs. Meeting new people helps the animals learn social skills and feel comfortable around humans, especially if they previously lived on the streets. Some of them simply crave attention.

You can join the walks too! It’s easy: become part of the community and accept a volunteer chat-bot invitation to participate.

The event is supported by the Anhelina Usanova Foundation, led by Miss Eco International 2024. This is the eighth event the foundation has supported. In January and February alone, UAnimals volunteers have helped shelters in Kyiv, Lviv, Poltava, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kharkiv, Volyn, and Zaporizhzhia regions, as well as cleaning up Khortytsia Island.

Additionally, on Saturday, February 15, volunteers organized a photo day in four shelters, capturing professional-style pictures of the animals to increase their chances of adoption.
