On April 13th in Zagreb, Croatia, Animal Friends Croatia organized an Animal Rights March. Volunteers from UAnimals joined the rally to support Croatian animal rights activists and to raise awareness about the suffering of domestic and wild animals in Ukraine due to russian invasion.
Around 400 people attended the rally. The demands of the activists were announced by the organizer of the march and member of Animal Friends Croatia, Lorena Herceg. Croatian activists are calling for stricter animal protection laws, such as regulating the breeding and trading of animals.
Animal Friends Croatia insists on banning the chaining of dogs and advocates for a complete ban on animals in circuses. Additionally, activists are urging the government to introduce vegan food options in preschools, schools, and university cafeterias.
Croatian animal rights activists also took to the rally posters by UAnimals, reminding about the ecocide in Ukraine and its impact on the nature of Europe as a whole.
Let’s unite to defend animal rights!
