UAnimals Sent Food for Dogs and Cats of the Hospitallers Volunteer Battalion

UAnimals delivered 398 kilograms of food for dogs and cats from frontline areas, temporarily sheltered by medics of the Hospitallers Volunteer Battalion in Pavlohrad, Dnipropetrovsk region.

Recently, Liliya Klius, a logistics officer of the battalion, reached out to UAnimals.
“Besides rescuing the wounded, our crews regularly evacuate abandoned animals from the combat zone. At our base in Pavlohrad, we’ve created conditions for their temporary shelter — built enclosures and ensured veterinary care and attention,” Liliya explained.

That’s how the ‘Animal Dormitory’ was born. It has existed for about a year now, and the residents are actively being rehomed.

“On April 25, 2025, a drone strike caused major damage to our base — it burned down along with all food supplies,” said Liliya. The enclosures were located a bit further from the destroyed buildings, so the animals were not physically harmed. They were frightened and aggressive for a few days, but have since returned to their normal behavior, she added.

Currently, the Animal Dormitory shelters 28 cats and 27 dogs. They receive free veterinary care — vaccinations, sterilization, and treatment — thanks to the support of professionals. Food is provided by various organizations, including UAnimals.

This time, the animals in Pavlohrad were fed thanks to your donations.
