UAnimals turns 10 on March 7

This year, UAnimals marks its 10th anniversary. On March 7, we will celebrate a decade of work. Over these years, one thing has become clear: animal protection is not a separate initiative — it is a set of values that remain strong even in the most difficult times.

How did it all begin?

In 2016, it all started with a simple belief: animals do not belong in circuses. From a petition, a Facebook page, and the first public actions, the humanist movement UAnimals grew — uniting thousands of people across the country. Then came animal rights marches in different cities of Ukraine, Ukrainian brands refusing to use natural fur, a ban on traveling circuses in 30 cities, and the creation of the cross-party association “Humane Country.”

Since February 2022, our work has taken on a new scale. The full-scale war forced us to focus on rescuing animals from frontline regions. Over these four years, together with you, we have helped at least 650,000 animals: evacuating them from shelling, delivering food, covering medical treatment, conducting sterilization campaigns, rebuilding and equipping shelters.

This is shared work

We are not all-powerful. Our team does everything possible, but without the support of the community, this work would be impossible.

Ten years of our journey are about people who:

  • donate and provide monthly support;
  • volunteer in shelters and during evacuations;
  • adopt animals into their families;
  • share information;
  • refuse to stay silent in the face of cruelty.

Thank you to everyone who stands with us.

UAnimals. 10 years of fighting for humanity. And we continue.
