UAnimals Volunteers Distributed Over 200 Kilograms of Pet Food in Zaporizhzhia in March

At the beginning of spring, UAnimals volunteers traveled around Zaporizhzhia Oblast to distribute pet food and parasite treatments to local residents. The volunteers visited villages with many abandoned animals due to the war. They distributed 210 kilograms of pet food and 125 parasite treatments. This trip was supported by the Anhelina Usanova Foundation.

In early March, Hanna Korniienko visited the villages of Tavriiske and Yurkivka, as well as the town of Orikhiv. She handed out 105 kilograms of cat and dog food and provided 55 parasite treatments.

Around the same time, Zaporizhzhia-based volunteers Yelyzaveta Dushkina and Alina Faber traveled to Malokaterynivka, where they distributed 105 kilograms of pet food and 70 parasite treatments to local residents.

The volunteers regularly deliver pet food to local villages. Earlier in February, Yelyzaveta, Alina, and another volunteer, Daryna Biesova, distributed 110 kilograms of pet food in Hryhorivka. In the same month, Kristina Lukyanenko delivered the same amount of food for cats and dogs to the village of Klapai in Kherson Oblast.

Many abandoned animals remain in these villages and towns, while the number of residents has decreased since the war began. Those who still live there often take in and feed multiple cats and dogs — but not everyone can afford to provide food and medical care for the animals on their own.
