Report on Fundraising for the Treatment of Four Puppies and Dana the Dog from Kherson Region
The fundraiser for severely ill puppies and Dana the dog received support from 405 donors.
Thanks to compassionate individuals, we managed to save and treat three puppies suffering from a severe, deadly illness.
On June 22, UAnimals received a request from soldiers to evacuate nine puppies from Tiahynka in the Kherson region. Unfortunately, our team was not able to promptly retrieve the animals, so the soldiers handed them over to volunteer Natalia Derhach from the Tobias. Kherson Animals NGO for temporary shelter.
Regrettably, five of the puppies fell ill with enteritis (inflammation of the small intestine), prompting Natalia to seek help from the DoctorVet clinic.
The clinic immediately started treating the puppies. We covered the entire cost of IV drips, medications, and procedures. The veterinarians managed to stabilize the condition of four of the pups and stop the bleeding, but sadly, one puppy passed away the first night, and later, the illness claimed a second.
