In September, the Ukrainian military was able to force out the russian occupiers from large areas. This allowed our volunteers to visit liberated settlements and bring fodder to local animals. At the same time, we continued to rescue distressed animals from the front line and support them in the still-occupied territories.

For the amount of
4 190 333 UAH
In September:
● we managed to help 13 659 animals for 4 190 333 hryvnias. This amount included the payment of sterilizations and vaccinations, logistics, purchase and shipment of feed, purchase of medicines and treatment, reconstruction of shelters, evacuation, and administrative costs;
● 40 816 kilograms of fodder were sent from our warehouse: 7 193 kilograms for horses, 33 773 for cats and dogs. In total, in September, we provided food to 13 656 animals from 25 cities and towns;
● we sterilized 1 189 animals as part of our free sterilization program for homeless cats and dogs;
● our legal department sent 6 appeals to state institutions, 5 statements to law enforcement agencies in the case of animal cruelty, 2 petition letters, provided consultations on animal protection issues that came to the hotline, prepared a comparative table for the second reading of the draft law on fireworks for consideration by the subcommittee, worked on a draft law on amendments to the Code of administrative offenses;
● we evacuated 186 animals from hot spots;
● a cat from Kharkiv was taken abroad to a new family;
● we closed the fund-raising for the repair of housings for wintering 160 animals in the Askania-Nova Biosphere Reserve, closed the fund-raising for the repair of the floor in the Kherson shelter, closed the fund-raising for the repair of the Dnipropetrovsk stud farm, which suffered from shelling, opened and closed the fund-raising for the purchase of fodder for 38 red book bison in the Skolivski Beskydy National Nature Park, opened a fund-raising for saving the Ichnia National Natural Park from fires, opened a fund-raising for saving Kharkiv animals, opened and closed a fund-raising for the treatment of a lioness with a complicated birth;
● we provided food for four bears from the White Rock bear shelter for a month;
● the bear was evacuated from under shelling in Bakhmut, after which it was transported to the Domazhyr bear shelter in Lviv Oblast;
● we launched a campaign with Glovo “Buy a sticker – support animals” – a fund-raising for insulation of 20 booths of the Step to Animals Chernihiv Veterinary and Sterilization Center;
● we held Days of Children’s Music for animals;
● we held a campaign with Auchan;
● we registered on the donorbox platform;
● we helped two animals with difficult situations in treatment;
● we promptly responded to the liberation of the territories and brought fodder to Izium, Vovchansk, and the farm of Synelnikove, Cherkasy, and Ruski Tyshky;
● we started sterilization in Glukhiv, Kyiv, and Putyvl;
● we prepared documents for animals abroad.
