The shelter has no dedicated space for veterinary care. Help UAnimals build a veterinary cabin where rescued animals can receive examinations, treatment, sterilization, and surgeries.
The AnotherDimension shelter in Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk region is home to 156 dogs. The team rescues animals that have been found abandoned, sick, or severely weakened. Yet today, the shelter has no dedicated space where veterinary care can be provided.
That is why UAnimals is launching a fundraiser to build a veterinary cabin for the shelter. We need to raise UAH 303,484 to create a fully equipped space for examinations, treatment, surgeries, and other essential veterinary procedures.
At the moment, all examinations, vaccinations, and treatments have to be carried out in spaces that were never designed for veterinary work. Whenever an animal needs surgery or sterilization, they must be transported to the nearest veterinary clinic. This means lost time, additional stress for already vulnerable animals, and ongoing transportation costs.
For many of the shelter’s residents, timely medical care has already meant the difference between life and death.
That was the case for Arisha. When she was found, she could barely move because of severe dehydration and exhaustion. She arrived at the clinic in critical condition, suffering from anemia and multiple health complications. Despite the veterinarians’ grim prognosis, Arisha survived. Today she is healthy, active, and finally living without pain.
Lamelka has a similar story. She was discovered on the grounds of a thermal power plant in critical condition. Veterinarians fought for her life for nearly two weeks, and after that she also developed parvovirus enteritis. Thanks to extensive treatment, Lamelka eventually recovered.
This is why the shelter urgently needs a dedicated veterinary space where animals can receive daily examinations, vaccinations, treatment, sterilization, and other procedures, while emergency cases can be treated without losing precious time traveling to a clinic.
We will install a veterinary cabin on the shelter’s premises. It will include two separate areas: a veterinary examination room for check-ups and preparatory procedures, and an operating room.
