UAnimals Provided Parasite Prevention Treatment for 3,380 Animals

Thanks to the support of 2,114 donors, UAnimals purchased and delivered parasite prevention treatments for 3,380 animals cared for by shelters and animal welfare organizations in frontline communities across Ukraine.

Together, we raised UAH 533,686.40. Of this amount, UAH 533,654 was spent on purchasing the treatments, while the remaining UAH 32.40 will be used for our next animal welfare project.

Why does this matter?

Parasites are far more than a source of discomfort. They can cause severe weight loss, anemia, skin diseases, damage to internal organs, and transmit dangerous infections. For overcrowded shelters, purchasing flea and tick treatments for hundreds of animals becomes a major financial burden that many organizations simply cannot afford on their own.

Shelters across Ukraine received support

The treatments were distributed to officially registered shelters and animal welfare organizations that applied through the UAnimals chatbot. Recipients included organizations from the Sumy, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, Kherson, Mykolaiv, Chernihiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Odesa regions.

The campaign helped more than just cats and dogs. Ferrets, otters, a least weasel, and a European pine marten living at Ukraine’s specialized Mustelid Rehabilitation and Rescue Centre also received parasite prevention treatment.
