Five lions from the Wild Animals Rescue Center by Natalia Popova and UAnimals have gone abroad

On Monday, June 12, UAnimals together with the head of the Wild Animal Rescue Center Natalia Popova evacuated lions abroad.

Asya the lioness with cubs Amy, Santa and Teddy and Akeru the lion went to new homes.

All lions were rescued from Donetsk region. Asya was kept in a nursery to sell cubs, and Akeru was kept in private property and was left under fire.

The well-coordinated work of the team allowed us to quickly and safely carry out all stages of loading the lions into special cages for transportation. The whole process is supervised by the team of veterinarians Inna Vasylkivska and Viktoriia Koval and the head of the Center Natalia Popova.

Next, the animals will go to the zoo in Poznan and undergo a thirty-day quarantine. From there, they will go to new homes in rehabilitation centers for wild animals in Europe.
