UAnimals activists conducted a Dangerous Gift demonstration in California

On December 14th, on one of the central squares of San Francisco, California, UAnimals activists set up a temporary installation — a gift box with a countdown timer under a Christmas tree.

It symbolizes the Russian “gift” to the planet. The countdown timer serves as a reminder that Russia’s actions are causing an ecological disaster not only in Ukraine but also far beyond its borders.

The box contains information that, due to its military actions, Russia has already killed over 6 million animals, contaminated 182,880 square meters of soil, and burned 680,618 tons of toxic substances. Moreover, during the full-scale invasion, 20% of Ukraine’s nature reserves suffered destructive impacts. 600 animal species and 750 plant species are on the brink of extinction.

This installation was carried out as part of the #StopEcocideUkraine project by UAnimals. Activists call on the international community to condemn Russia’s actions and to collectively fight against its destructive influence.

Please consider taking action by donating, signing the petition on the StopEcocideUkraine.org website, and publicly protesting against the terrorist country.
