The Second Dimension shelter in the Dnipropetrovsk region aims to take in more animals and plans to build housing for them. UAnimals is helping to raise funds for the construction of 10 enclosures for dogs, which will accommodate about 40 animals.
The shelter is located in Zelenodolsk, near the border with the Kherson region. Currently, it houses 100 dogs.
Among them is Shurik, a dog found on the highway (pictured above). There’s also a group of dogs from Fedorivka in the Kherson region. They were discovered by a taxi driver, Ruslan, while fulfilling a ride request. The animals were found neglected in a rural yard. Ruslan contacted the shelter and returned to Fedorivka with the staff later that evening.
“It was a nightmare: the animals were emaciated like skeletons, without kennels, water, or food. Inside the house, we found a blind puppy locked in. We had nowhere to house more animals, but without hesitation, we took them. That’s how Roma, Chapa, Lady, and Liza joined us. Roma ran frantically from bowl to bowl, grabbing food everywhere, as if he couldn’t believe he could eat without rushing,” the shelter staff recount.

To continue taking in animals, Second Dimension urgently needs new enclosures. This is one of the most frequent requests shelters make.
