Winter is just around the corner, and with it comes the cold, which is a serious problem for rehabilitation centers and shelters where animals have found refuge. That is why UAnimals is traditionally launching the Great Winter Collection to help purchase firewood, briquettes, and pellets to heat them.
We want to warm more than 6,000 animals in 20 shelters and rehabilitation centers throughout Ukraine. To do this, we need to raise 1,094,170 hryvnia. This money will help heat the premises where cats, dogs, domestic and wild animals live, as well as prepare warm food for them.
Who are we helping?
This fundraiser is critically important because it will support shelters where animals with difficult fates live. Among them are:
- Bob the cat from the “Friends of Animals” shelter (Sumy region), who was found with three severed paws. He has recovered but will likely live in the shelter. He needs stable warmth.
- A mother dog with puppies, who was found exhausted in a ruined yard in Donetsk region. They were rescued by Pegasus volunteers and are now recovering from their ordeal.
- A blind cat from the “Cat House” shelter (Khmelnytsky region), who was hit by a car. He lost his sight and suffered a broken jaw and bruises. His recovery is impossible without proper heating.
These and thousands of other animals — domestic, farm, and wild — living in 20 shelters and rehabilitation centers rely on our help.
How to get involved?
We have created an interactive landing page where your every contribution is converted into hours of warmth for animals. You can literally “throw a log” into our virtual stove:
- 5 hryvnia is 4 minutes of warmth in the shelter;
- 100 hryvnia is 1 hour of warmth;
- 2000 hryvnia is a whole day of warmth for animals!
To do this, simply follow the link, select the amount that corresponds to the amount of heat you want to donate, and watch your “log” fly into the stove and the fire burn brighter!
Every hryvnia is minutes of warmth for thousands of rescued animals. Throw a log on the fire, and together we will keep them warm this winter!
