This Saturday, November 9, thirty UAnimals volunteers hung bird feeders in Holosiivskyi Nature Park in Kyiv. The feeders were filled with various treats for birds. UAnimals’ partner, the “Nature” society, provided 20 wooden feeders and bird food for the initiative.
Holosiivskyi Park is home to as many as 108 bird species, many of which will spend the winter within the city. In Ukraine, woodpeckers, nuthatches, jays, magpies, crows, thrushes, waxwings, goldfinches, tits, and sparrows all stay for the winter. We hope that the birds wintering in Kyiv will enjoy the feeders in Holosiivskyi Park.
