From September 13 until the end of the month, the Ukrainian Parliament is hosting a photo exhibition documenting the crimes of russian invaders against nature. UAnimals and the cross-party group “Humane Country” organized it as part of the #StopEcocideUkraine campaign.
Ukrainian photographers Anastasia Metelieva, Andriy Yakymenko, Antonina Polyarchyk, Yuriy Stefanyak, Yana Sidash, Kostiantyn and Vlada Liberovy, as well as the State Emergency Service, contributed their works to the exhibition.
The images depict remnants of shells, the bottom of the former Kakhovka Reservoir, boats full of animals during a flood, black smoke from fires against a clear sky, and forests engulfed in flames — all capturing the harsh reality of Ukraine’s nature during wartime.
In the past 2.5 years, employees of the State Environmental Inspectorate have registered about 5,800 cases where russians have damaged Ukraine’s ecosystems. These damages are estimated at over 2.5 trillion hryvnias. These are rough estimates, as there is currently no precise data on the environmental impact in the occupied territories.

Tell foreigners about the environmental crimes committed in Ukraine — russia, as a terrorist state, must be brought to justice!
