UAnimals has launched a fundraiser for vaccines to protect animals from infectious diseases

UAnimals has opened a fundraiser to purchase vaccines for 500 cats and dogs from frontline areas. These vaccines will help prevent infectious diseases, including one of the most insidious—enteritis.

This disease affects many stray animals and develops very quickly. Often, animals rescued by UAnimals or other animal welfare organizations from under fire later need to be saved from enteritis as well.

Just this summer, several animals that UAnimals was helping died from this disease. In June, the military brought puppies from the frontlines to Kherson, and they came under the care of the Tobias organization. Immediately after, the puppies fell ill with enteritis, and some of them did not survive. Three recovered puppies were sent to the shelter of Tetiana Nelha in the Dnipropetrovsk region. In July, eight puppies from Komyshany, also in the Kherson region, were handed over to the UAnimals team by the military. Later, three of these puppies died from enteritis. This disease is difficult to fight, but it can be prevented with vaccinations.

With the funds raised, UAnimals will purchase vaccines as well as parasite treatments for 500 cats and dogs from frontline areas.
