In the Carpathians, a man brutally beat a horse, forcing it to pull logs. The incident was recorded on video and posted on Instagram by user Daria Babenko on April 2. UAnimals’ legal team has filed a complaint with the police.
The video shows the horse struggling to move the logs but seemingly unable to shift them. The man repeatedly hits the animal with a stick.
Daria, who shared the footage, stated that the incident took place near the Mountain Residence Hotel in Bukovel. She, along with two other witnesses—hotel guests—also filed a police report.
UAnimals’ legal team additionally submitted a complaint to the Main Department of the National Police in the Ivano-Frankivsk region regarding animal cruelty under Article 89 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of Ukraine.
At this stage, the police have identified the offender. He was found to be a 35-year-old resident of the Zakarpattia region. Authorities are currently determining how to classify the case.
