From the very first days of the full-scale invasion, UAnimals has been assisting animals affected by the war. At first, we responded to urgent needs by delivering food and veterinary aid for animals in Ukraine to shelters across the country. Over time, we focused on frontline and recently liberated areas — where animals continue to suffer the most. These areas are now our top priorities.
To keep assistance organized and transparent, all requests are accepted through the chatbot @help_uanimals_bot or via our managers. This allows us to act systematically, honestly, and effectively — within available resources.
We convert your donations into direct help to support animals in Ukraine:
Projects are launched after studying regional requests and needs. Each project targets specific areas and recipients (volunteers, soldiers, shelters). Aid includes food, medicine, vaccinations, treatment, equipment, and programs to rebuild animal shelters damaged by the war.
We regularly assist shelters caring for animals rescued from frontline and occupied territories, including support shelter reconstruction efforts.
People there need a lot of food and medicine for animals, often caring not only for their own pets but also for animals who have lost families and homes.
During missions focused on sterilization and treatment, our teams provide animal medical aid and deliver food and medicine to volunteers caring for stray and abandoned animals.
We respond to urgent needs:
— When shelters suffer from shelling, flooding, or other disasters, we help not only with supplies but also support shelter reconstruction and recovery.
— When soldiers request assistance for animals found in combat zones, we provide food, evacuation support, and emergency veterinary help.
— When wild animals are in danger, depending on the region, we may provide animal medical aid, food, evacuation, or transport.
— Our team also provides treatment for animals injured due to hostilities — offering emergency veterinary help when needed.
We aim to help every animal, but our resources are limited. Currently, UAnimals focuses on several directions. Assistance can be provided to:
Officially registered shelters, charitable foundations, and NGOs caring for animals (food and medicine aid after verification)
Individuals who encounter domestic, farm, or wild animals injured directly due to war (shrapnel wounds, explosions, concussions, etc.)
Shelters affected by military actions
Soldiers caring for animals at positions or in combat zones
Volunteers and communities (with NGOs or foundations) caring for animals in frontline areas
Partner shelters that receive animals evacuated by UAnimals in safer regions
