The community spent a day cleaning shelters in the Kyiv and Khmelnytskyi regions to make the space safer and more comfortable for animals
On March 21, volunteers from the UAnimals community came together for a large-scale clean-up. Seventy people chose to spend their day off helping shelters in the Kyiv and Khmelnytskyi regions, preparing facilities, enclosures, and shelter grounds for spring.
We organized visits to five shelters:
UAnimals provided volunteers with everything needed for the work.
Volunteers swept the grounds, raked last year’s leaves and grass, and collected waste that had accumulated over the winter. Inside the shelters, they cleaned surfaces, cages, and windows, as well as litter boxes, bowls, beds, and scratching posts.
In addition to the work, volunteers also spent time with the animals living in these shelters.
These trips are a regular part of our volunteer community’s work.
