This weekend, UAnimals’ community volunteers walked dogs in shelters in the Kyiv, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Poltava, Sumy, Khmelnytskyi, Mykolaiv, and Kharkiv Oblasts.
About 80 people devoted their attention to animals in 10 shelters. Each volunteer took two or three dogs for a walk, and some even more. At Dim Sirka in Ivano-Frankivsk, a volunteer family went for 4 walks to give some exercise to as many dogs as possible. In the Mykolaiv Oblast, at the Dushi Brodyag shelter, volunteers not only walked dogs but also played with cats indoors. Additionally, in the Kyiv region, at the V Dobri Ruky shelter, a canine training session was organized for volunteers.
This is another initiative within the Helping Shelters Across Ukraine project. Its goal is to make life in shelters more comfortable for animals. In return, people get the opportunity to do a good deed and improve their own and the animals’ mood.
Join the upcoming initiatives by registering with UAnimals as a volunteer! Every good deed matters.
