Now, the charitable store Animalism sells toy mice by the internally displaced person from Mykolaiv, Hanna Ivanivna. Within the first two hours after the collection launch, the store sold out all the mice, and within a day, received over 300 pre-orders. Half of the proceeds will go towards rescuing animals from the war.
Hanna Ivanivna lived in Mykolaiv and worked as a music teacher. Her husband passed away before the full-scale invasion. Due to the shelling of her hometown, Mrs. Hanna moved to Kyiv, where she lives with her daughter. It’s her daughter who crafts the handmade mice, which Hanna Ivanivna sells.
“We met her near the exit of the Kyiv metro station, where Hanna Ivanivna sold her products for a few dozen hryvnias,” said Eleonora Khanina, the manager of the Animalism charitable store.
Subsequently, Eleonora negotiated a collaboration with Mrs. Hanna, and the handmade mice were added to the Animalism online store. Their price is 400 hryvnias, of which 200 is Hanna Ivanivna’s fee, and the other half is a contribution to UAnimals’ rescuing animals from the war.
