In November, UAnimals volunteers visited 13 villages and towns in the Donetsk, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Kherson, and Odesa regions. They distributed 1,100 kg of animal feed to local residents.
Yulia Biloborodko, a volunteer who, along with her friend, brought 100 kg of pet food to the village of Rayske in Donetsk region, shared, “This region is heavily affected and often shelled, even on the day of the pet food distribution. People who stay there try to survive and provide shelter and food for stray animals.”
Another volunteer, Maria Sapon, distributed 100 kg of feed in two towns in the Kharkiv region: Velyki Prokhody and Mali Prokhody. She also shared her observations: “The settlements were only liberated last fall, and all the infrastructure there is destroyed. Many people evacuated, leaving their animals behind. But the small number of people who stayed are trying to feed and help everyone.”
From Slobozhanske, Kharkiv region, volunteer Oksana Suprun brought the news: “The town is gradually recovering after constant shelling and airstrikes it faced in the first year of the all-out war. However, the locals need help with food for animals that ended up on the streets due to the war, and for those they have taken under their care.” Oksana distributed 100 kg of pet food to local residents.
In total, 9 volunteers participated in the feed distribution missions in November, helping feed over 500 animals in the frontline regions.
