The lives of people and animals, as well as the unique ecosystem of the Kherson region, were threatened due to the undermining of the HPP. Unforeseen negative consequences may also arise in the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant area.
As of now, the villages on the right bank of the Dnieper are in the zone of potential flooding: Mykolaivka, Olhivka, Lyovo, Tyaginka, Ponyativka, Ivanivka, Tokarivka, Ponyativka, Prydniprovske, Sadove, and partially the city of Kherson – Korabel Island.

UAnimals is reaching out to shelters, rehab centers, and animal shelters in the area of potential flooding to contact them on social media if anyone needs help evacuating animals.
UAnimals also appeals to pet owners during evacuation and urges them to take them with them. If this is not possible, it is necessary to untie and release the animals to give them a chance to escape on their own.
And UAnimals once again calls on the world to punish Russia, which is not only a terrorist country but also an eco-terrorist country. Russia is committing ecocide in Ukraine and killing the future of the entire planet. #StopEcocideUkraine
