russians attacked the “Loving Hearts” animal shelter in the Odesa region

On the night of September 29, the russians once again attacked the Odesa region. One of the strikes hit the “Loving Hearts” animal shelter in Velykodolynske. At least 10 cats and 3 dogs were killed when a missile struck one of the shelter’s buildings directly. A massive fire broke out after the explosion. The fire destroyed the food supply as well as the room where the shelter’s director, Olga Shimilina, lived.

Rescue workers from the State Emergency Service arrived to put out the fire. Local residents and staff from a neighboring shelter also came to help. Their work was complicated by a second air raid alert.

Right now, it’s crucial to understand the condition of the surviving animals and what kind of assistance the shelter needs following this horrific attack. We’re trying to get in touch with Olga to determine the immediate needs. At the same time, we’re in contact with volunteer Olena Rotanchuk, who is helping on the ground to rescue the surviving animals.

This attack is yet another crime against life. russian terror knows no bounds; the occupiers are destroying everything they can get their hands on.
