UAnimals filed a police report against Zviropolis petting zoo in Kyiv

Visitors have reported to UAnimals’ lawyers that the petting zoo Zviropolis located in Blockbuster shopping center is violating the policies for keeping wild animals in captivity.

According to them, the monkeys at Zviropolis do not have access to water and a natural environment; surrounded by decorations made of ropes and dry wood, they are kept in a glass box. Visitors constantly take photos with flashes, and the monkeys cannot escape them because of lack of personal space.

UAnimals have submitted a report to the police demanding an investigation into the conditions of keeping exotic animals at Zviropolis, the legibility of their acquisition, and captivity. If law enforcement officials identify violations of the rules for keeping exotic animals or signs of animal cruelty, responsible persons will be fined according to the law.

Every animal deserves a dignified life. Do not support the exploitation of wild animals — avoid visiting contact zoos!
