UAnimals joined the largest climate event of the year

The organization will participate in the United Nations Climate Change Conference, known as COP29, held this year in Baku from November 11 to 22. The conference will host 100,000 participants from 190 countries, including the UAnimals team.

Head of Strategic Initiatives, Olga Chevhaniuk, stated: “We are proud that this year, UAnimals will represent Ukraine at the climate conference alongside the Ministry of Environment and the NGO Save Dnipro, and we are grateful for this opportunity. We are actively preparing to tell the world how russian aggression impacts climate change.”

UAnimals and its partners will showcase an interactive installation illustrating the environmental crimes russia is committing in Ukraine. The Climate Change Conference is a key international platform for addressing the climate crisis and serves as a powerful lever for influencing national policies. Participating countries seek collective solutions to curb global temperature rise. Meanwhile, the war in Ukraine has led to increased greenhouse gas emissions, accelerating global warming instead.

It’s essential to highlight how the Russia-Ukraine war affects the environment within and beyond Ukraine’s borders — russia must face the International Criminal Court and be held accountable for the damages.
