On Monday, January 15, the founder of UAnimals, Olexander Todorchuk, and the head of the State Operator of the Rear, Arsen Zhumadilov, signed a memorandum of cooperation. According to the document, the UAnimals team will develop and assist in implementing plant-based options in the nutrition of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for those who require it. Experts, dietitians, and organizations with the necessary experience will be involved in this work.
Currently, dozens of thousands of military personnel are unable to eat based on their beliefs while serving following a vegan or vegetarian diet, or fasting.
“To propose a solution that takes into account the peculiarities of nutrition in the combat conditions, the demand for nutrients, and the complicated logistics is a challenging task, but it’s the least society can do for the boys and girls defending our country,” commented Olexander Todorchuk, founder of UAnimals and serviceman, on signing of the memorandum.
