The UAnimals team, in partnership with the “Affordable Sterilization” project, has set out for Zaporizhzhia. In towns and villages close to the frontlines, veterinarians will be providing treatment and sterilizing animals.
In the frontline areas where the UAnimals vet van is headed, there is no available veterinary care. Veterinarians Nataliya Sokolova and Lolita Polishchuk will be vaccinating, sterilizing, and microchipping animals, including both local pets and strays. Animal catcher Roman Bidnenko will help transport stray animals to the mobile clinic. The mission team also includes vet van driver Oleksandr Pohrebnyi and UAnimals project manager Andriy Kharchyshyn.
The team plans to assist 200 animals, funded by the Harmony Fund.
This is the second UAnimals Veterinary mission. The first took place in September, when the team, including veterinarians, provided aid to nearly 400 animals in the Kharkiv region.
We’ll share mission details soon—stay tuned to our news and social media! You can support our work here.
