Ukraine to allow animals in air-raid shelters

The Ministry of Internal Affairs, in collaboration with the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, has prepared a draft order that allows people to bring animals into bomb shelters. The document was developed in response to a proposal from UAnimals and “due to public resonance.” This information was shared by Yuriy Koreva, the head of the Department of Interaction with the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

The draft order also outlines the responsibilities of individuals bringing animals to shelters. Specifically, these individuals must ensure that the animal does not harm people and their property.

Now, other relevant government bodies will review and provide comments on the document. Only after this process will the Ministry of Internal Affairs be able to sign the order.

Let the public resonance supporting more humane Ukrainian legislation continue. Let’s spread awareness about animal rights!
