Volunteers collected more than 28 tons of garbage during the UAnimals nationwide cleanup event

The UAnimals nationwide cleanup event involved 760 people in 9 regions of Ukraine. In total, the volunteers collected 28,300 kilograms of garbage!

The cleaning took place in protected areas:

📍on Khortytsia in Zaporizhzhia,

📍Holosiivskyi National Park in Kyiv,

📍 in the Hutsulshchyna National Park in Ivano-Frankivsk region

📍 in the Uzhanskyi National Park in Zakarpattia

📍 in the Buzky Gard National Park in Mykolaiv region.

Volunteers from Poltava, Kharkiv, Odesa, and Kamianets-Podilskyi also joined the event.

During the Cleanup Event, the volunteers not only made our land cleaner, but also called on the whole world to help Ukraine cleanse itself of the russian invasion and stop the russian ecocide!

People came out with posters stating that more than 600 species of animals are endangered because of the russian war.

After all, in order to remove russia from our land, which is committing ecocide on a huge scale, we need the help of the whole world!

This is what UAnimals is constantly talking about as part of the international campaign #StopEcocideUkraine.

As part of the #StopEcocideUkraine campaign, UAnimals has already held dozens of rallies on all six continents of the world. We also appealed to the United Nations to finally recognize russian actions as ecocide.

We are grateful to every volunteer who came to the nationwide cleanup event to take care of the nature of their country and remind them that neither humans nor animals should suffer from war.
